Success

We are delighted to share some feedback from our Access to Higher Education students, one of whom is currently studying economics at the University of Bath, rated in the top 10% in the country.

“I received my first semester results a few weeks back and you’ll be pleased to know I achieved strong firsts within all my modules. I did particularly well in an essay based module with the Access course I took at Aldridge Adult Learning playing a vital part in my success. I am incredibly proud of what I have achieved so far at university! This is more of a belated thank you for preparing me for my early career in a way that no A-Level course/structure could ever have done. The Access To Social Science course, and what you and the staff members at Aldridge Adult Learning are achieving is something truly incredible, specifically in helping my confidence, engagement skills and general ability to work efficiently in a collaborative and learning environment.”

The Access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma

This qualification prepares students for study at degree level and is ideal for those who would like to go to university but left school without the qualifications needed. This Diploma is widely recognised by UK universities and has no upper-age limitation.
We are proud to be able to support adults on their progression journey. Students are given support to apply for a University place through the UCAS applications process.

During my time spent on the Access to Health course, I learnt how to structure my time effectively in order to break down each assignment into manageable chunks. This enabled me to have a greater opportunity at achieving a higher standard of work. Upon completion of each assignment, my confidence in my ability began to grow more and more, and I was able to reflectively identify areas in which I can improve. Planning my independent project taught me how to effectively manage my stress levels and to recognise when I need to take a moment out, so I can return to my project refreshed and more  motivated than ever. This helped me to achieve the distinction that I did. Furthermore, my understanding in the diversity of the human body has equally broadened, helping me to have a greater depth of knowledge when it comes to different medical conditions.
