About Course

This online course is essential for students wishing to move on to Health related Higher Education courses including degrees Nursing; Midwifery; Paramedic Science; Adult Social Care; Students are given full support to apply for a university place

Course content:

Course content includes 19 units that have been chosen to be vocationally relevant for careers in Health and Social Care. The units include:

Adolescent health
Reviewing and planning for the future.

Disease and the Immune System.

What do I need to do this course?

The recommended reading list will be provided at the interview. A laptop or desktop; a good broadband connection and good IT skills

Requirements

  • Students should have level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE qualifications in numeracy and literacy. It is essential that candidates check the entry requirements for their university choices before enrolling for the ACCESS course. If you do require both Maths and English, then you might consider completing these alongside a course such as the Level 2 Pre-Access; Preparing to work in adult social care or Counselling level 2.
