This course is essential for students wishing to move on to Social Science related Higher Education courses including degrees in Social Work, Teaching, Psychology, Sociology and Criminology. Students are given full support to apply for a university place
Course content includes 18 units that have been chosen to be vocationally relevant for careers in the Social Sciences.

A level 2 qualification in English is the minimum requirement for thie course. Although maths is not a requirement for the Access course, it is essential that candidates check the entry requirements for their university choices, before enrolling on the ACCESS course course.
If you do require both Maths and English, then you might consider completing these alongside the level 2 Pre Access course

You will be assessed through a range of methods including essays, presentations, exams and a small-scale research project. You will be given regular tutorials to check progress, identify any issues, set targets and support your return to academic study and writing.
