Description

The Level 3 Certificate in Health and Social Care is more suited to people already in a role within Health and Social care who wish to progress within that role. This qualification does not provide a licence to practise, but may support progression into a wide range of job roles in the health and social care sector, including: • Care Support Workers in adult residential settings • Healthcare Assistants in community, primary care and acute health environments • Care Support Workers in domiciliary services, supported living or day services • Community-based Support Workers This course is free to any learner that does not already have a level 3 qualification.

Nine ‘Core Mandatory’units marked by AAL [3 are completed as part of the Award]

One Extended Assessment covering the‘Core Mandatory’ units externally set and externally marked

Sociological perspectives in health and social care
Working in health and social care
Reflective practice

Requirements

- completion of the Award in Health and Social Care
- Placement in a Real Work Environment

What can I do after this course?
Learners will be able to progress to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care; also learners will be offered an interview for the Access to Higher Education Diploma leading to university study
