About Course
This course is designed to give you the opportunity at receiving either a functional skills digital qualification or an Award in progression (digital). After the first few weeks you will decide along with your tutor which qualification is right for you.
The digital skills framework defines the digital skills adults need to safely benefit from, participate in and contribute to the digital world. These qualifications are suitable for all ages and support the development of key digital skills.
The functional skills digital qualification will
- enable learners to gain confidence and fluency in their use of digital knowledge and skills, and develop a positive attitude towards the use of digital skills.
- enable learners to develop an appreciation of the importance of digital skills in the workplace and in life generally.
- enable learners to demonstrate their knowledge and skills by applying these to complete tasks and activities.
- provide a basis for further study, work and life.
The award in progression qualification will

equip learners with the digital skills that will be useful to them in their everyday lives. This will support learners to engage with family and friends, become active citizens, and carry out simple personal and household tasks.
