This course is aimed at those that are looking work in either a school or college supporting the teaching and learning. You will learn how the education sector works, and the way that employees are recruited, as well what is expected regarding motivation and work ethics.
Applicants can be referred though the Job Centre, on apply individually through the ALL office. You must be unemployed and on benefits to meet the funding requirements. You will be asked to complete a AAL application form as some of this course is work experience. The classes will be held face to face All resources will be available in different formats to meet he needs of the individual learner. The course is over 4 weeks and will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. Students must attend all sessions to complete the course
Each session workbooks will be available, and these will be marked by the tutor to show knowledge of each of the learning outcomes. These will then be used to record work experience during the last two weeks.
