Description

This is an exciting course which will enable you to gain experience of and explore different printmaking techniques. This will include Monoprinting and Relief printmaking, including – Lino cuts, foam block, collography and wood cut. You will get the chance to produce your own individual prints in a fun and supportive environment. You will need to supply the tools to start off, this would be about £20 and would include cutting tools, roller, and basic inks and a printing plate.

Course content:

You will be introduced to the printmaking processes, including mono print, relief and intaglio printing.

You will get a chance to develop existing printmaking skills through personal projects and exploration of you own printmaking practice.

We will look at the ways to develop sketches and initial ideas into finished prints.

We will also explore projects such as limited print runs and producing prints to a narrative.

What do I need to do this course?

Basic relief printmaking tools. Printing inks. Paper.

A starter kit for relief printmaking is ideal to start and can be found in art shops, such as Cass Arts and Clarkes Stationers
