Are you looking for a perfect course to condition your body and mind? This is the ideal exercises class. You will gain awareness and control of the body and mind through movement & a beneficial relaxation section in the final stages of each session.

This body awareness is taught through eight principles: postural symmetry, corseting, control and flow of movement, strength, relaxation and breathing through a combination of Pilates’ principles, yoga positions and a combination of exercises to work on coordination and balance. Encouraged to work at your own pace and level therefore, suitable for anyone wishing to maintain and improve physical and mental awareness. It is particularly safe and effective for those with back problems, joint pains or who suffers from anxiety.

Your safety is our priority, and in these unprecedented times we need to make some temporary changes until it is safe to welcome you all into class.
So, to begin with, your classes will be taught with a mix of online teaching and some 1:1 tutorial or small group work in a safe, socially distanced environment. Some cases courses may be taught fully online if that works best.
However, nobody needs to come into class until they feel happy to do so, all the materials you need to succeed will be online, and if you choose to stay home, we will make sure you will receive all the support you need via email, phone and through our Virtual Learning Environment.
This is a perfect class for those who want to condition their body and mind. It includes a beneficial relaxation section in the final stages of each session. Engaging in a combination of exercises targeting specific areas to improve posture, core strength, and flexibility and to reduce the effects of stress. Progressively becoming more aware of your own body, to enable you to work at a pace and level that is suitable for your needs and ability. It is particularly safe and effective for those with back problems, joint pains or anxiety. De-stress through relaxation and breathing
Suitable for anyone wishing to improve their fitness level & wellbeing. If you want to acquire the knowledge of how to gain more physical and mental awareness to empower you with the competence to apply these skills to your everyday life then this is the exercise course for you. There is no need to have any knowledge of the exercises as you will be guided through the session and are encouraged to work at your own pace & level, strength & ability. Alternative exercises will be offered when and where required.
As the course will initially commence online you will require:
Instructions given orally and visually during the lesson. There is a Moodle page set up for your course to use out of class. For this term we will be working through 'Google Meet Up' due to social distancing. This means that you will be invited to join each session online. You will hear and see me on your screen during the session and I will guide and instruct you. As soon as it is safe to return to the classroom we will inform you. We will make it as enjoyable and as friendly as always! By communicating at the beginning and end of each session and by completing short learning outcome forms at the beginning and end of course. You will also measure your own progress by recognising the benefits to your overall wellbeing.
You are not obliged to do any homework. However, you are encouraged to exercise whenever possible. Use your knowledge and practice the techniques from the class at home. You can read the information and follow the exercises on Moodle.
