About Course

This qualification provides learners with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school and college environments. It covers all aspects of specialist support including planning; delivering and reviewing assessment strategies to support learning alongside the teacher; bilingual support; special needs support; and personal development and reflective practice.

We aim to show you the skills that you need to work in the classroom to support the teaching and learning of the Children and Young people from 5 – 19 years. This in turn will give you the knowledge to advance your career and apply for positions such as:

As the course will be online you will require:

Requirements

  • Learners must be at least 19 years old.

    You will have an interview with one on the tutors and you are required to be working or volunteering in a school for at least 3 days a week.

Teaching Methods

  • You will experience a range of teaching methods including assignments, work product investigation, case studies, work sheets and powerpoint completion.

    The qualifaction is internally and externally moderated to ensure consistency at a high standard.
