Learn how to use social media channels effectively to raise your online visibility.
Due to Covid-19, the course will commence online. You will use a Google Meet to see your tutor and all of the lessons will be taught face to face through Google meet. You will access learning materials online through our VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) Moodle, where you will find powerpoint presentations and other resources and where you will communicate with other students and your teacher by the interactive forum. You will need to be available during class times.
The course will focus on the main social media marketing channels used for business – Facebook Pages, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. It will include social media strategy, profile management, planning, content generation, engagement and scheduling. Throughout the course you will develop your social media marketing strategy which you can implement as we progress.
Attendees should have a basic knowledge of how to use a computer and a mobile phone. They will likely be using social media already but it is not required
Due to the course commencing online (until such time as we can return to class) you will require:
A computer with a webcam or a smartphone
A peaceful place to participate in the course from
An email account
Presentations, examples, hands-on activities, group work, demonstrations.
Tasks will be set and we can re-cap at the start of each session to see how everyone is progressing.
Attendees can explore their social platforms outside of the course sessions, practise posting, and build on their plans/strategy

The course is for business owners who hav websites and compoany employees who hold a marketing or IT role and are responsible for their company website.
