This course is aimed at those that are looking to work in either a school or college supporting the teaching and learning. You will learn the skills required of a teaching assistant, how schools are organised, and the importance of communication when supporting learning and encouraging positive behaviour. The course will cover the areas and stages of child development, and how to support those with specific learning difficulties. You will be introduced to ways to keep children safe in schools, and how to ensure equality, diversity and inclusion in the school environment.
