The purpose of this qualification is to increase learner’s knowledge and awareness of children and young people’s mental health. By completing the qualification, learners will develop knowledge of: • children and young people’s mental health in context • mental health problems commonly associated with children and young people • the impact of mental ill-health on children and young people • support available to maintain mental well-being in children and young people. This course will be delivered through distance learning with weekly sessions supported by innovative, interactive educational content to support learners to learn and gain a valuable qualification during this challenging time. You will be fully supported by the course tutor through online video tutorials and regular email feedback.
You will complete all 5 manadatory units to achieve the whole qualifaction.
No formal entry requirements although you must be over 16.
None are essential however a ring binder will be helpful to keep your work in.
This course will be delivered through distance learning with 10 weekly half day sessions supported by innovative, interactive educational content to support learners to learn and gain a valuable qualification during this challenging time. Teaching will involve some reading together and facilitating discussion via Google Meet. Associated film clips/online questionnaires can be downloaded from Moodle and will help to put what is read into context. Written feedback will be provided as the learner completes each section of the two assessment workbooks.
