No formal qualifications are required.

We conduct an initial assessment which includes a literacy and numeracy test and students must achieve level 2 or above in these assessments. If you do not achieve level 2, we will recommend other suitable courses to get you ready for an access course.

Here at Aldridge Adult Learning, our results are outstanding, with the majority of our learners receiving offers to progress to their first choice course at University. Our learners are then fully prepared for their interviews at University and many have been accepted on highly competitive courses.

Location for courses

We have a stunning alternative learning space in Portslade, Foredown Tower. This really is a unique environment and is as far away from being school as you can imagine!. We have continued support from the University of Brighton with students given full access to the library and study areas.

Not ready to start an Access course?

If you are not quite ready to start an Access course and need a little support beforehand, we offer the opportunity of enrolling on a Pre-Access course which will ensure you develop the skills and confidence you need. If you successfully complete the Pre-Access course you can seamlessly join our next full Access course.
