GCSE Results Day

Maths
“You are never too old to learn! The support here at AAL has been brilliant and Claire, my tutor, is an absolute diamond! I started on the basic 6 weeks introductory Multiply maths course, went on to do L1 and then L2 Functional Skills maths.
Now I have passed GCSE maths! It’s a lot to balance but my confidence grew, and I began to believe! It’s a great feeling right now.”

Maths
Proud tutor, Claire Hooper (left) with ecstatic Ellie (right), who said ”I was going to withdraw from the course at one point – maths has been my nemesis for decades. But I said to myself “maths – you are not beating me!
It’s only thanks to Claire that I persevered and got a solid grade 5! I wanted to show my daughter, who is just starting secondary school at PACA, if you persevere, you can achieve. I cannot advocate AAl enough and express how fulfilling this journey has been. My tutor Claire is the bee’s knees!”

English
Karen said “I’m really proud of both of them. They worked really hard on a tough course and they have come such a long way in terms of their confidence and skills in English.”
